Margaret grew up on the shores of Connecticut but spent most of her summers in Maine woods, lakes, and islands, including many years at Camp Wyonegonic in Denmark, ME. She was a teacher, museum director, college professor and dean. Presently, she is a photographer, weaver, painter and a hiker.
 
She graduated as an English major from Wells College in New York, received a master’s degree from Wesleyan University in Connecticut and a PhD in English medieval literature from the University of New Hampshire. During the twelve years she has lived year-round in Bridgton, she has worked with several local organizations, including The Rufus Porter Museum and Bridgton’s Community Development Committee. 
 
Margaret is also married to Andrew (Drew) Ingalls Sanborn whose great-grandfather once held the distinction of having the most overdue library books from the Walker Hall Library.

Jim attended local schools and graduated UMO with a BS in Business Administration. He began his career in Bridgton owning and operating a family wood products plant and later managing a larger wood products plant in a neighboring town.  He also served as the Executive Director of the Greater Bridgton Lake Region Chamber of Commerce and as Manager of Bridgton Highlands Country Club. His work experience includes, Manufacturing, Public Service, and Recreational/Retail.

Joining a third-generation family-owned insurance agency that started in Bridgton in 1857, Bill Chalmers understands business and the importance of being involved in the community. As a trustee, the most important responsibility for Roger was making sure the building was able to survive the test of time. Through these years, he was active in the non-profit arena, as a member of the Bowdoin College Board of Overseers (1979-1991) serving as President in 1989-1991, and the Town of Dover (MA) Board of Selectmen of which he was Chairman in 1989 and 1994. He also was a Trustee of several other non-profits (Celebrity Series of Boston, The Peabody Foundation, & North Hill Retirement Community) where he served as Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee.

Maine has always been an important part of Norm’s life and he and his wife Eleanor became full time residents of Bridgton in 2002, having owned property in the area since 1971. He has remained active serving 14 years on the Board of Bridgton Academy, holding the position of Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee a number of those years. In 2023 he retired as Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Town of Bridgton after almost 10 years, 20 years as a member.

Richard Packard is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston and Southwestern University Law School.  He has a legacy of improving the communities he works in. Whether it be low-income Senior Apartment communities, providing a safe active lifestyle replete with programmed onsite recreation and outdoor facilities, Single-Family communities on the golf course, high-end Luxury Hotels, or the adaptive re-use of industrial/commercial facilities, enhancing their best possible use. He has left his mark, both personally and economically, on communities across the nation.

Christine Baillargeon is certified as an energy manager and is the operations manager of a local sustainable energy company.  She takes an orderly, pragmatic approach to tackling complex, multi-faceted challenges, has the ability to cut through the chaff to define what is meaningful and necessary, making her a quick study, shortening the path from assessment to final outcomes. Former positions include Program Manager for a county-wide economic strategy implementation project, and Project Manager for a large California developer, building and operating hotels and residential communities in Southern California.

Phil grew up in Bridgton not far from Walker Memorial Hall. He attended the local high school and studied economics at the University of Southern Maine. Returning to Bridgton after college, Phil joined the Chalmers Insurance Agency in 1985. As a member of the local Chamber of Commerce, and later as President, he was instrumental in creating several new fundraising events, one of which provided for a new Chamber Information Center. 

Phil enjoys meeting people and supporting his local community. Giving something back has always been important to him. He started coaching youth basketball and later, as Commissioner of the league, once again turned his attention to fundraising for children’s uniforms, basketballs, and other essential items.

Phil is active in his local church and has served many years as a deacon, trustee and on other various committees. Phil raised his family 2 doors down from Walker Memorial Hall. He loves being a Dad to his daughter and two sons. He and his wife, Jill, love to design, renovate, and decorate their two homes.

Ken graduated from Brown University with a BA in physics and philosophy. In his 30
years as an independent software consultant, he worked with more than 20 companies of various sizes in a wide variety of industries. Clients included Home Depot, Xerox, Fidelity, Fairchild Semiconductor, Hachette Book Group, and Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.  Ken is Trustee and caretaker-in-chief for a 100-year-old lakeside Camp in Bridgton which is held in a family trust. His family has had a long presence in Bridgton on the Ridge, starting with his great-grandfather who built Tarry-A-While resort and the nearby “Baptist Barn” near Walker Memorial Hall. Ken designed and built the house next to Walker Memorial Hall, which he, his wife and two Vizslas retired to in 2020. Ken enjoys making and fixing things, and enjoys construction, woodworking, and cooking. He is the author of a book (once cutting-edge, now obsolete) on voice-enabling the World Wide Web. His interests include computer software, cryptography, and science-y stuff.
